JOHN 7th May 2014

Went to Sunday Mass - Mary's weekend.. Sent: Mary Chung 5/19/13 To: Philip, Sally, heartof303, patsyliucheng Hello family! Good Sunday afternoon..... Rachael and Amelia just left. It is just me and dad. It sounds so strange to say that but I really feel like he is still around with us. Like in the movies, he will be departing from earth very soon. He will want to see that we are all doing OKAY. I have kept the candle lit every day. The kids have lit the incense every time they came home or left. Everyone who visited have lit the incense. My house smells really good. I love dad at home but I will do whatever that mom and family wants. Dad can stay as long as it is okay with mom. My weekend has been interesting. Friday, I worked couple of hours after dropping John and Mom. Daniel left soon after we got home. Then the girls came home. They were sweet. I was starting to get "emo" and was "emo" off and on. there must be a button somewhere but I couldn't stop thinking about dad. I was glad Amelia and Rachael were there to talk to me. Then by Friday late evening around 11 PM, in talking to Rachael she said she needed a car. Both the girls have been "bumping" rides with friends and students for 2-3 years. The one car was getting hard as the others have graduated and moved on. So I send an internet request for quotes. Next day Saturday (yesterday).. at around 4 PM, I had bought a car over the phone (after haggling with a few dealers... ) Can you believe it!! I thought it might be dad's working... "ta-lon kian wong"!! as mom would say. I believe I am very much like dad in many ways. So by next weekend I will be picking up a new HONDA CRV EX AWD, Albaster Silver. The guy gave me 2 years free maintenance warranty and 0.99% interest rate. Rachael will take my 2011 Honda and I will have the 2013 Honda (yeah.. this is the Honda family!!). Rest of Saturday evening, the girls and I were planning for Rachael's wedding next year! I wish dad were here to celebrate with us. So family, reserve next year end of JULY, either 12th or 26th! Today, I invited Natalie to go to church with us. She loved the St. Matthews Church service. The hymns were beautiful. I did fine until during the first Holy Eucharist when they sang the song called "Oh Breathe on me.........", I totally broke down.. sob! After Mass we went by the St. Matthews Mausoleum. It is a small area by the Church, it looks really peaceful. I have taken few pictures that I will send everyone to see. These are Niches so not sure how we all feel about dad in the Niche. For lunch we went to the Saigon Palace for a delicious Vietnamese buffet. It was very good. I wish you were all able to join us. Tomorrow is work day.. I am not looking forward to it. I hope people will not be too pushy at work.. since i am behind and we have due dates. John, thank you and Ying so much for having mom. She really needed it. Phil and Jean, I am glad you are spending time together. Jean, you have been so supportive the last couple of years, I know Phil was away from home a lot... thank you. Love you all, Mars
